Veridian Dynamics

Veridian Dynamics is an international mega corporation and conglomerate that works and deals with every field of life, mostly technological. It is morally fucked.

A stereotypically evil company, Veridian Dynamics, experiments on its employees, twists the truth, and will stop at nothing to achieve its goals. It has been mentioned that Veridian has swayed presidential elections, created killer pandas and robots, weaponized pumpkins, and that there are only three governments left in the world which are more powerful than Veridian. Although not promoted as such, and rarely the focus of storylines, the show's frequent references to futuristic technologies, killer robots, sentient computers, etc., places the show in the science fiction genre.

The characters are fully aware of Veridian's nature, and often try to manipulate the system in order to stop bad things from happening to them (and sometimes to mitigate the evil effects of some of Veridian's projects). They are also all susceptible to the potential rewards the company can offer despite the consequences of their actions, such as the company's attempt to hire Lem's mother, or the company's introduction of scented light bulbs with known flaws. Much of the comedy of the show comes from the characters' navigation of these morally ambiguous areas.

The use of mock commercials for Veridian Dynamics is used in the show, thematically related to individual episodes and placed at the end or beginning of actual commercial breaks in all but a couple of episodes of the show.

History of Veridian Dynamics[]

As Veridian Dynamics' history is mostly unknown, most of the segments found here are group head-canons used by the fans. All false information/head canons will be bolded.

The story of Veridian Dynamics began with Victor Vācùum, an American businessman who sold "Dynamical Vacuums", special vacuums he designed which works twice as fast and uses less energy. However, this wouldn't exactly pay off until he met Theodore Viridian, an intelligent man who was looking for causes to fund and he found one in Victor. With Theodore's help, Victor was able to better market his vacuums

He also started a website called "Victor's Dynamics, Viridian Assistance".

In the December of 1999, the Heisenberg Certainty Generator was finally developed and ready for active testing

Employees must NOW use offensive or insulting language in the workplace.
- Employees can’t swear at each other. (Made because of a groundswell of opinions) / (apparently there was a typo with the word groundswell making the word groundsmell instead).

Company Memos[]

Like most companies Veridian Dynamics sends its employees memos, usually about new rules and procedures. Most of these come from (S2, E522) “The Impertence of Communicationizing“.

Veridian Dynamics tried to replace the food in the cafeteria with nutrition pellets.
The following two bulletpoints imply the company uses the word "weeee" on various things or content to make it seem funnier than it is.
- Veridian Dynamics made an employee genetic compatibility chart to save money on healthcare. It was titled "Wheee... Love is in the air, compatibility chart.
- The company had a similar thing called "Wheee... It’s pension rollbacks” where they rolled back employee pension.
